Career Transition Program
Beaudoin Duhamel Transitions has designed a Career Transition Program which helps individuals maximize their interests, talents and abilities and find the desired employment quickly and efficiently.
Helping the individual define and implement a sound career plan and effectively manage his/her self-confidence are essential ingredients to our career transition program.
The entire team is there every step of the way.
The length of a transition program can vary according to one’s needs and budget. Below is a brief description of the main components:
Career vision
- Career assessment: taking stock
Review of current situation; evaluation of career objectives and direction according to interests, attitudes, aptitudes and experience; assessment of different career and lifestyle options (e.g. working for a corporation, starting a business, becoming a consultant, or retirement) - Strategic planning
Defining strategies and developing an action plan to reach career goals; drafting written and verbal communication strategies, choosing target markets, and drawing up a short, medium and long-term personal development plan - Implementation: aiming for new horizons
Developing effective communication tools (resumé, cover letters and preparing for different interview formats; coaching in marketing skills; formal and informal job markets and negotiating working conditions and compensation) - Integration: fitting into a new job
Providing guidance and periodic follow-up to ensure success in the new job and to reinforce the career decisions made at the start of the program
Ongoing self-confidence management
A career transition is one of the most intense experiences in one’s professional life. During this time our self-confidence is often put to test. Managing our self-confidence increases our chances to obtain the desired results. Our approach is designed to prepare individuals for the efforts and decisions required for a successful career transition.
- Bio-psycho-social assessment
